Tigaly account and data deletion
Tigaly: English learning for students. Published by NextGen Digital Systems. Last updated 7 September 2026.
You can request deletion of your Tigaly account and associated data without signing in or reinstalling the app. Tigaly is published by NextGen Digital Systems (Android package: com.nextgendigitalsystems.tigaly). Support and authorised administrators handle deletion requests.
Open the deletion request form
How to request deletion
- Open the public support form using the button above. Account and data deletion is already selected. Enter the email address used for your Tigaly account; no sign-in is required. You can also email support@nextgendigitalsystems.com from that address with the subject: Tigaly data deletion request.
- Say that you want your account and associated data deleted. Include your university or school, if applicable. If you only want specific records removed, tell us which records instead. Never send your password.
- We respond within 30 days of receiving your request. We verify account ownership, arrange deletion and confirm what was removed. We explain any records that remain and why. The separate retention periods below may continue after account deletion.
University accounts and help with verification
If your university manages your account, you can also ask its administrator to arrange deletion. Administrators and super administrators already have account-management tools; this page provides a public way to request their help.
If you no longer have access to your account email, contact support and tell us. We will help you verify ownership another way before deleting anything. You do not need to sign in to send a request.
What is deleted
Completed student-account deletion removes the following from active account records. Deleting the account means you can no longer sign in or recover the removed learning progress. Support reviews staff and other account roles separately, including any school records that need to be reassigned.
- Your login, profile, account settings, role assignments and enrolment links.
- Lesson, task and game progress; placement results; learning statistics; saved answers, conversation transcripts, AI feedback and scores.
- Your wallet, transaction history, gold and voice balances, XP and rewards, and saved vocabulary progress.
- Saved Echo Journal and Voice Journey recordings and their transcripts.
- Registered push notification tokens, notification preferences and delivery history, plus linked parent and friend relationships.
Microphone recordings and generated speech
Microphone audio is used for speech recognition and speaking feedback. Some Schoolday exercises and Grup Kampus replies also save the recording and transcript in Echo Journal, shown in the app as Voice Journey. Those saved learner recordings are not discarded immediately after transcription. They have no automatic age-based expiry and are removed with completed student-account deletion.
Audio generated from text for spoken playback is different from your microphone recordings. Generated audio and its text can remain in a shared cache after account deletion. Weekly cleanup removes non-library clips that have never been reused and have been untouched for more than 60 days. Reused clips and lesson-library audio have no fixed automatic expiry.
Recording and playback files already saved on your device can remain until you clear Tigaly's app storage or the device clears them. Signing out or deleting the account does not necessarily erase those local files.
Records that may remain and for how long
Account deletion is not immediate deletion of every record in every system. The following records have separate retention rules. Removing an account link does not necessarily make a record anonymous.
- Routine diagnostic logs: scheduled daily cleanup after 30 days from creation. Error and fatal logs: after 180 days. AI service-usage records: after 90 days. These periods do not restart when you delete your account.
- Rate-limit counters used to prevent spam and misuse: scheduled daily cleanup once they have been expired for more than one day.
- Invitations, class-promotion audit records, submitted problem reports and abuse-block records: not automatically erased by account deletion and no automatic expiry. They can contain names, email addresses, identifiers or report content. Ask support to review these as part of your request; we will explain any records that remain and why.
- Support correspondence in our inboxes and email-service records: not automatically erased with your account and no fixed automatic deletion period. You can request removal through support.
- Records held by hosting, speech, AI and email providers follow those providers' retention rules. The app's cleanup schedules above do not establish a deletion deadline for provider-held records. Contact support to include these in your request.
Deletion and retention summary
